Toddlers
::The toddler nursery is available to you from 9:45AM until the end of the Worship Gathering. It is staffed by professional child-care workers and screened MESA volunteers who genuinely love and care for our little ones. You are welcome to bring your children to the toddler nursery at any time before or during worship. Children are also welcome to remain with you during worship—whatever you're most comfortable with.
:: In our toddler nursery, children up through age 4 play together in a joyful, fun, and safe environment. Books, music, and age-appropriate toys are available for learning and creative play. MESA Children’s Ministry volunteers lead our toddlers in a brief Bible story and activity each week.
:: Children up to age 4 are welcome in the toddler nursery, but parents may decide when their 3-4 year old is ready to move up to our pre-school Kids Worship group. You will receive a vibrating pager when you sign your child into the toddler nursery. Nursery staff will use the pager to alert you if your child needs you and, if desired, can also send you a page to let you know your child is doing well.
:: For the best experience in the nursery, please remember the following:
-
Children must be signed in and signed out of the nursery. To pick up a child, an adult must have the child's pager.
-
Provide your child with a labeled bottle or sippy cup and extra diapers, also labeled with your child's first and last name
-
Label your child's things.
-
If your child will need a meal or medicine while in the nursery, we invite you to return to the nursery at any time to give it to him/her. Our nannies will serve a light snack, however, if your child has food allergies, you may leave a specific snack for your child, and our nannies will be sure to only serve it to him/her.
-
To ensure the safety of all children, if your child is potty training, you will be paged to go to the nursery to take him or her to the restroom during the service if your child needs to go. Professional nursery workers will change diapers as needed for children who are not potty trained but cannot take children to the restroom.
-
Separate infant and toddler nurseries are available in separate areas of the school. It is up to parents to decide when the toddler nursery is appropriate for their child. For the safety of our infants, children over age 2 may not be dropped off to the infant nursery.
-
Children showing signs of a fever, cold, or any contagious disease including a green runny nose, labored breathing, rash, fever, diarrhea, or vomiting in the last 24 hours, should not be left in the nursery.
