Discipleship at MESA
What is Discipleship?
:: A disciple is a learner. Everyone is someone's disciple; everyone is learning from someone how to live life. Christian discipleship is learning how to live the best possible life from the only person ever to live such a life—Jesus. Discipleship is a life-long process of becoming fully like Christ — a process that begins here on earth but will not be perfectly realized until heaven.
Why should I go deeper in my relationship with God?
:: Because nothing satisfies us more than God. We try all sorts of things to fulfill the depths of our broken and empty hearts. Money, drugs, relationships, accomplishment...none of these things will ever satisfy us. God alone delivers the soul-satisfaction we crave. The more we know God, and the deeper we grow in the truth and grace of Jesus Christ, the more His Spirit fills our lives with peace and lasting satisfaction.
How can I grow deeper in my faith through MESA?
:: You will grow deeper in your faith as you participate fully in the life of Christ in community through MESA Groups and the Worship Gathering. Covenant Groups and Discipleship Workshops provide more opportunities to learn, engage, relate, and find a fresh edge on who God has made you to be, and how He is moving and working in and through your life.
